On Second Thought: Washington Transfer QB Pulls Name from Transfer Portal

If Will Rogers can master Washington’s offense as well as he’s mastered the understated, the Husky offense will be just fine.

In what will go down as one of the wildest 10 days for Husky Football, numerous players coming, going, committing, decommitting the Mississippi State transfer who put his name into the Transfer Portal.

For his part, he simply dropped “Bow Down.” onto Twitter.

All by himself, Rogers did some coming, going, committing, decommitting all by himself.

Rogers put his name in the transfer portal 12 days ago, making it the second time since November 27th.  He transferred from Mississippi State to Washington.  He’s on his 4th head coach since November.  First, his coach, Zach Arnett, was fired on November 13 and replaced with Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby and Rogers entered the portal the first time.

He announced he would transfer to Washington in the middle of December to be Kalen DeBoer’s replacement for Michael Penix.

He was on hand for Washington’s appearance in the National Championship Game on January 8th against Michigan.  Then DeBoer left for Alabama and Rogers jumped back into the portal–until tonight when he pulled his name out and left a simple “Bow Down.” on Twitter.
