The Biletnikoff Award recognizes the most outstanding FBS receiver in the nation, and Rome Odunze was selected as a finalist for the award.
However, Marvin Harrison Jr. took home the Belitnikoff trophy after an outstanding season with Ohio State.
Harrison Jr. was spectacular at Ohio State, finishing the season with 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 18.1 yards per reception. Harrison Jr’s best game of the season came against No. 7 Penn State when he hauled in 11 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown. He scored in all but one game despite questionable quarterback play all season.
Odunze was unstoppable at Washington, with 81 receptions for 1,428 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 17.6 yards per reception. Odunze always stepped up on the biggest occasions, putting up over 100 yards and multiple scores against three different ranked opponents, and four straight games over 100 yards to finish the season.
Odunze’s biggest game of the season was against Oregon in October when he had 8 receptions for 128 yards and two scores.
