The Washington Huskies have joined the fray for University of Rhode Island cornerback Antonio Carter who entered the Transfer Portal on April 16.
Since putting his name into the portal 4 days ago, Carter has picked up a string of Power 5 offers from coast to coast including five from the Big 10 and Oregon State and Washington.
Between the 2021 and 2022 seasons he racked up 105 tackles.
The Orlando, Florida-native also accounted for 5.5 tackles for loss including 2 sacks. He added 3 forced fumbles, 17 passes defended and a single interception.

Additionally, the 6-0, 200-pound cornerback still has two years of eligibility remaining.
What this offer may mean is that more players will be leaving the Washington program. Currently the Huskies sit at one over the 85 scholarship limit. In the past 10 days edge defender Sav’ell Smalls (transfer) and offensive lineman Owen Prentice (retired).
Washington has one more practice on Friday it’s Spring Game on Saturday to wrap up Spring Football. The Transfer Portal opened 5 days ago on April 15 and closes at midnight on April 30.
