The Washington Huskies are looking for a replacement for departed sophomore safety Vincent Nunley who entered the Transfer Portal earlier this week. One target is Jermod McCoy from Oregon State who entered the portal yesterday.
His first announced offer was from Washington but the Huskies doesn’t offer him out of high school. At Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas he was the state long jump and triple jump champion.
For Jonathan Smith he played in every game as a true freshman, meaning he will have 3 years of eligibility with 4 years to play—which lines up with the departure of Nunley.
The 6-0, 180 defender would be a cornerback in Washington’s scheme. He started four games and recorded 31 tackles, with a high of six against Arizona. He also has interceptions against California and Stanford.
RealDawg.com will track McCoy’s recruitment with Washington.
