The Washington Huskies area pulling out all stops in when it comes to recruiting for the 2024 recruiting class. Saturday they sent out an offer 2,300 miles away to a Ashton Hampton, a receiver/defensive back from Tallahassee, Florida.
#AGTG After a great conversation with @CoachShephard I’m blessed to say I’ve received an offer from @UW_Football @SWiltfong247 @Andrew_Ivins @247Sports @adamgorney pic.twitter.com/g5WjkDIzSI

Hampton, listed on his Twitter profile as a 6-2.5, 180-pound dual-sport athlete, reported the offer Saturday afternoon. The Huskies are Hampton’s 15th offer.
He attends high school at Florida State University School in Tallahassee where he also plays basketball.
With the offer coming from JaMarcus Shephard, it appears that UW is recruiting Hampton as a receiver. However, the major scouting services are split on his position, slotting him as an athlete, a safety, and a corner back.
He’s already pulled in offers from Alabama, Clemson, Miami, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss amongst his 15 offers.
This past season he averaged just under 20 power reception pulling down 35 passes got 696 yards and 9 TDs in 15 games. He is a role player on the hard court, helping his team to a 19-2 season, as of Sunday.
Washington, his most recent repeated offer, is his only offer west of the Rocky Mountains.
