Dave Mahler on KJR projected today (based on what he was hearing) that Jacob Eason had won the starting position, following by a report in the Times stating the same thing.
While it shouldn’t come as any big surprise, we still expect to see back-up Jake Haener take some snaps next Saturday when the Huskies face Eastern in their season opener.
We explained much of the reason for this in an article posted earlier today, but again — this was kind of a given going into the 2019 season for Washington.
