Listen to Pick and Roll: Washington Takes Down #2 Stanford

In a program defining weekend Tina Langley has her signature win early in her career as head of the Washington Women’s program.

Not only did Washington take down the #2 team in the nation, but also capped off a 3 conference game win streak, something former coach, Jodie Wynn, failed to do in her tenure at the helm.

The weekend started the weekend off with a 70-54 win against Cal. The Huskies were able to dispose of an opponent below them in the conference standings with ease as they attempt to move up the conference standings. The Huskies were bit by the injury bug when Hannah Steins went down after playing just 14 minutes.

As Stanford loomed Elle Ladine scored a career high 10 points Friday. But that was just her opening act.

Ladine was spectacular in the 72-67 upset win against Stanford. She scored 21 points shooting 8-17 from the field. She was not the only player to come up big. Lauren Schwartz battled through an ankle in the second half to help Washington with the victory.

Other big performances came from Dalayah Daniels with 15 points and 9 boards and Haley Van Dyke with 14 and 10.

The Huskies now go on the road to the mountain schools starting with #7 Utah then #25 Colorado.

UW Leah and Evie Mason break it all down.
