LISTEN: The State of Washington Husky Recruiting

Since taking over Washington Husky football, Kalen DeBoer has been tasked with turning around the recruiting for the program.  On the field DeBoer and staff have turned the program around quicker than many people in the national media projected.

Being bowl eligible headed into the off-week and the chance of a 10-win season as a attainable goal would have been a welcome idea before the season started.

The Huskies seem to be victims of their early success after starting the year 4-0 at home and being ranked #15 in the country. After a loss to UCLA the Huskies then dropped a dreadful game in the desert to the Sun Devils. The team got back to their winning ways with two wins including their first road win of the season in Berkley.

Roman Tomashoff joins the show to break down the perception of the program from not only his point of view, but also what he is hearing from the recruiting standpoint.

The Huskies have a lot of ground to make up after many of the top players in the state left for other programs. Tomashoff discusses the “Loyal to the Soil” motto that has been created by the staff and how they balance that with bringing in talent from around the country.
