The Washington Huskies are back in the college football playoff top 25 coming in at the bottom of the list. Kalen DeBoer will take his high powered offense into the hostile environment of Autzen Stadium with a matchup with the #6 Oregon Ducks.
The history and animosity between these two programs goes back almost a century with dominant stretches by both teams.
Lately the Huskies have been on the losing side. After two dominant wins by the Dawgs that snapped a 12 game winning streak by the Ducks Oregon finds itself with another 3 game winning streak with each game coming down to a single score.
Both teams have new coaching staffs and find themselves in the middle of a successful season.
Dan Lanning at Oregon took over a fringe playoff team constructed by Mario Cristobal and has the Ducks playing at a very high level.
Kalen DeBoer has turned the program around from last year’s 4-8 campaign and a loss to the Ducks that ended the coaching tenure for Jimmy Lake.
Washington is almost a 2-touchdwon underdog going into Eugene, but the high powered offense and the healthy defense will give the Huskies a chance to pull off the upset.
