Listen: Golden Bears Preview

After a win at home that saw two records set, the Huskies take their show back on the road down to Berkley.

The California Golden Bears are fresh off of an embarrassing loss in overtime to the Colorado Buffalos. The Buffs were the final team in the FBS to secure a win in the 2022 season and it came at the hands of Cal.

The Golden Bears should be out to turn their season around after two disastrous showing by the offense, against Colorado and a 9 point performance against the Cougs.

Transfer quarterback Will Plummer will attempt to be the next signal caller to put up big numbers on the Huskies’ defense.

Washington has yet to win a game on the road. Coupling that with the looming bye week the Huskies will not be overlooking this game.

A convincing win will bring more excitement back to the program. If the defense can take a step and the offense continue to be explosive the narrative around the program will be back closer to what it was in after the 4-0 start.

On the other hand another road loss would deflate the perceptions of this program in its’ first year.

Perception isn’t everything and Kalen DeBoer looks like a good hire, however starting strong as the other new coaches around the conference have will shorten the timeline for Washington to really compete with the heavyweights in college football.

Kaila Olin and Trevor Mueller discuss the matchup with Cal and how Washington can come out on top.
