The Washington Huskies are riding high after their 9th win of the season last Saturday evening with the 54-7 win over Colorado. The good times kept rolling for the Purple and Gold with the announcement of the contract extension of Kalen DeBoer through the 2028 season.
DeBoer and co. will travel east for the Apple Cup, a matchup with the Cougars that could give the Dawgs double digit wins before they take the field in their bowl game.
Figuring out the bowl situation for the Huskies will take weeks to work out, but the chance of them getting to the conference championship will come into clearer view on Friday when the Cal Bears face off against the UCLA Bruins.
If Cal pulls off the upset and the Beavers beat the Ducks Washington would have to beat the Cougs for a chance to face off against the Trojans of USC.
Regardless of the chances of this happening the Dawgs have a ton on the line including a possible trip to the Rose bowl or another NY6 game.
Former Cougar quarterback and current color commentator for Washington State joins Trevor Mueller and Kaila Olin to preview the Apple Cup.
