The Washington Huskies came off their bye week on a windy Friday night to beat the Beavers of Oregon State on a Peyton Henry kick with mere seconds left in regulation to secure the 24-21 win.

The Beavers came in ranked in the top-25 for the first time since 2013 and was short lived as they were not able to capitalize on two trips deep inside Husky territory only to get stonewalled on a pair of forth downs.

While the offense has been the story for much of the year the defense again for the second straight game was stout and gave the offense a chance to take the lead. The Huskies defense only gave up 14 points on the night with the second touchdown coming after a facemask on 3rd down resuscitated the drive.

The Washington offense struggled in the first half scoring only 7 points and giving up a Michael Penix pic-6 in the waning minutes of the 2nd quarter.

The offense finally found it’s footing on the second drive of the 3rd quarter when the Dawgs marched down the field to tie the game up.

After each team scored a touchdown, the Huskies forced a punt that was downed at the three yard line with 4:31 left in the contest.

Michael Penix led an impressive drive down the field. The offense converted three 3rd downs capped off by a Superman style diving catch by Cameron Davis that set up the Huskies to set up an easy field goal.

With the contest with Oregon looming and an appearance back into the AP top-25 Kaila Olin, UW Leah, and Trevor Mueller recap all the events of the game and what it means for the final 3 in the 2022 season.
