LISTEN: 4th and Inches Podcast Reviews Washington’s 31-24 Win at Arizona

The Washington Huskies finished the conference rivalry with Arizona the way it has 25 times, with the Huskies coming out victorious.

The Huskies were in control for most of the game late Saturday night down in Tucson as they managed a two-score lead most of the night. The Wildcats got within a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, but a failed onside kick ended their hopes.

Washington was held without a passing touchdown for the first time since the Arizona State loss last season. It didn’t slow down the offense who methodically moved down the field efficiently throughout the night scoring touchdowns on their first three drives, all of them coming on the ground.

Not counting the final position of the half when they had only 23 second the Huskies scored on five of their eight posses with one ending on a fumble on the three yard line.

Washington was bit by the injury bug especially on the defensive line that saw Ulumoo Ale come out for some time and Tuli Letuligasenoa leave the game without returning.

Washington has a bye week to heal up and fix some sloppy play that led to 125 penalty yards.

Listen in as Kaila Olin, UW Leah, and Trevor Mueller take a look at all facets of the contest.
