The Washington Huskies shocked the college football world by going south to Eugene and beating #6 Oregon in a thrilling 37-34 win.
Michael Penix was masterful throwing for 408 yards and bringing his team back after a costly interception late. Penix hit Taj Davis down on the sideline for a 62 yard touchdown to tie the game up at 34.
None of this would have been possible without the effort by Alex Cook to knock Bo Nix out of the game on third and short forcing Oregon to kick a field goal deep in Washington territory.
The Huskies prevailed against a top-10 team on the road for the first time since 2002 when the Huskies beat WSU in the apple cup 29-26 in triple overtime.
There were many heroes on Saturday night but none as big as the redemption story for Peyton Henry. Henry, who missed a game winning field goal against Oregon in 2018 nailed a 43 yard field goal with less than a minute left.
