Former Washington defensive back Kyler Gordon was taken by the Chicago Bears with the 7th pick in the 2nd round–39th pick, overall. He is the second Husky DB taken in the 2022 draft and 11 spots after Trent McDuffie was taken in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs at 21st overall.
In a shock to many, former Washington corner back, Kyler Gordon slipped into the second round. Prior to the second round he was trending by many scouting services as a first round pick..
RealDawg.com’s Roman Tomashoff filed this report earlier this week:
“Gordon is getting some love at the back end of the first round. It feels like he’s a lock for the top 50 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, and whoever ends up with the former four-star recruit out of Archbishop Murphy in Everett, Washington, is going to get a star.”
Bookie Radley-Hiles is another Washington DB who is looking to have his number called over the next few days. All three Washington DBs left school with eligibility remaining and it appears to be paying off for them.
