Washington Husky seniors Jaxson Kirkland and Alex Cook have been selected to represent the offense and defense at the Pac-12 media day.
It’s almost surprising that both players will even suit up for the Huskies this year.
Kirkland, had chosen to forgo his Covid-senior year to enter the NFL draft. However, having played injured much of the 2021 season he chose surgery to have give the NFL a full-health season of film, he decided to utilize the opportunity to regain first-round projections.
Kirkland, who started 10 games at left tackle last season, announced on social media with the accompanying video below that he would return to Washington.
Cook, recruited to Washington as a receiver has successfully transitioned to the defensive backfield, starting 9 games last season. The move to the defensive side of the ball defined loyalty to the program as did his vocal leadership during transitioning from Jimmy Lake to Kalen DeBoer.
