Washington backup quarterback K.J. Carta-Samuels announced on Twitter that he will be graduating in March and has been granted his release to look at graduate transfer options.
“I’d like to thank Washington & Coach Pete for an experience in the UW football program that has changed me as a man & allowed me to develop as a QB!” Carta-Samuels posted on Twitter Tuesday morning.” I hsve enjoyed my time in Seattle but ever since being named to the Elite 11 in 2013 it has been my dream to start collegiate football games and play at a HIGH level. I’d like to announce at this point that I have obtained my release & upon graduating in early March I will be a 1 for 1 immediate graduate transfer. I will always be a Husky and am so grateful for the opportunity I was given to be apart of this program but I cannot wait to have the opportunity to compete and win in my fifth year.”
K.J. Carta-Samules spent four seasons at the University of Washington, starting one game for the Huskies.
Carta-Samuels has one year of eligibility left.
