Let’s try game week again…Jimmy Lake talked to the media this morning via Zoom call. As for the two-deeps and any injury updates, nothing has changed from the pre-game last week.
Now, Washington prepares for Oregon State, and the setback of having to sit out last weekend might have left them a little fired up.
Lake described the Saturday and Sunday practices as being a “little chippy” at times — after all — these guys were ready to go play up until last Thursday when the game at Cal got cancelled.
Lake said it’s just the way it is right now and both he and the team have to be ready for these challenges, but said that getting notice 24-48 hours prior to a road trip is “A little more tough”.
Lake called an emergency team meeting and said his players were “extremely disappointed…but they did not flinch one bit.”
Lake pointed out that this was a county issue in Berkeley.
