Impact Statement: 3-Star Oregon Tight End Commits to Washington

Less than a month after telling RealDawg.com that “UW is definitely an option for me”, 3-star tight end Charlie Crowell has committed to Washington.

The 6-6 240-pound class of 2024 tight end has switched his decision from the University of Arizona to the Washington Huskies. Crowell played his high school ball at Summit High School in Bend, Oregon.

Crowell was originally headed for Arizona before coaching changes pulled him up north.

After several players left Washington, (Devin Culp and Jack Westover to the NFL and Josh Cuevas to Alabama) the Huskies tight end room was  looking for some players to step in.

Crowell is just that, but being that he will be a freshman next season the Huskies will probably turn to the Transfer Portal.

Even so, the Huskies will be looking for players to step-up and the big tight end is an early candidate, along with Decker DeGraaf.

Crowell provides a big body in the tight end room that is returning almost zero production from last seasons team.

This means that it will be up to youngsters to step up and make plays.

Crowell will be a name to watch for as spring practices begin and depth charts start to shake out.
