The Huskies were represented well this weekend at the NIKE Opening in Oakland, CA. Quarterback commit, Ethan Garbers won MVP honors among all the competing quarterbacks.
The field included players such as 5-star Clemson commit, DJ Uiagalelei and Penn State commit, Micah Bowens.
Garbers, who committed to Washington back in early March, had recently been bumped up for four stars on most networks and he continues to stay 100% solid to the Huskies.
His teammate, Mark Redman (TE) also committed to Washington in early April.
Garbers was the only MVP who was actively recruited by Washington, others, such as skill players and linemen weren’t high targets for Washington, but a lot of Husky hopefuls took part in the event and those results should be posted soon.
