Here’s some post-game notes of interest following the Huskies’ 27-23 win over Stanford, per UW Media Relations
The captains for today’s game were: Ben Burr-Kirven, Jake Browning, Jojo McIntosh and Byron Murphy. The Huskies are now 2-8 on opening coin tosses.
The Huskies 13 game home win streak is tied for the second longest in the nation (also Clemson and UCF). Alabama has the longest home win streak with 23 games.
Myles Gaskin went over 100 yards rushing for his school record 23rd time and the third time this season. With his 148 yards, he also moved past Marcus Allen (4,810) into fifth all-time in the Pac-12 with 4,826 career rushing yards.
Gaskin rushed for the 51st touchdown of his career. He ranks fifth all-time in Pac-12 history (4th: LenDale White, USC, 2003-05, 52).
Jake Browning rushed for the 16th TD in his career and threw for his 91st in the first quarter. His scores moved him into fifth all-time in Pac-12 for most scores responsible for. He ranks sixth all-time in the Conference with 91 TD’s thrown, behind fifth-place Jared Goff (96) of Cal.

Browning moved past Derek Anderson (OSU, 11,249) and Connor Halliday (WSU, 11,304) into sixth all-time on the Pac-12’s all-time passing yards list with 11,347.
Today’s game was the 50th of the career for Greg Gaines. That is the most of anyone on the UW roster and is on pace to become the all-time leader in Husky history for games played. The fifth-year senior has not missed a game in his UW career. He recorded the first interception of his career in the second quarter.
Ben Burr-Kirven led the team with 12 tackles and has 10-plus in five-straight games, eight games overall. His 134 tackles are the most by a Husky since Mason Foster had 163 in 2010. His tackle total is also 72 more than any other Husky (Tevis Bartlett, 62).
Josiah Bronson recorded his first career sack in the second quarter.
The Huskies had three true freshmen on kick off to open the game: Kyler Gordon, Dominique Hampton and Julius Irvin. For Gordon and Irvin this marks their second appearances of the season, while it was the collegiate debut for Hampton.
Hunter Bryant returned to action for the first time this season, appearing during the Huskies’ first drive.
The Huskies recorded multiple takeaways for just the second time this year (3 at Utah).
The Huskies held an opponent scoreless in the first half at home for the third time in five games (also North Dakota and BYU).
