Just last evening it felt like the sky had fallen for the Husky men’s basketball team, but today they got their invite to the Big Dance and will play #8 seed, Utah State to begin the Midwest regional of the NCAA tournament.

This is a challenge because, if the Huskies win, they would face the winner of the game between #1 seed North Carolina vs #16 seed Iona. So Washington needs to be on their very best behavior.
The Huskies go in as a #9 seed (which most expected), and other Pac-12 teams, Arizona State and Oregon also received invites.
