Huskies Offer 2020 Idaho D-Lineman

It’s never too late to try to add on to the 2020 class. Washington made a move towards Rigby, Idaho DL,, Tanoa Togiai this week and tonight, the offer was put on the table.

The 6-6, 300 lb. lineman said he’s “pretty excited, actually”, about the offer from Washington, “I know it would be a good school to go to…they already have the culture and it’s close to home.”

While Utah seemed to be the school to beat for Togiai, he said he’s never had any leader and chose not to commit or sign back in early December, “I just decided I wanted to keep my options open”, Togiai explained, “I want to make sure that I make the right choice.”

Togiai has 10-plus offers; with those from UCLA, Nebraska, Utah, and Virginia having stuck out the most, he’s already been to Lincoln, Utah, and Kansas State.

“I am taking an official visit to Washington”, he said, and the date is tentatively planned for later in January.

Ikiaka Malloe has been the main recruiter for Togiai, and the relationship they’ve built is off to a great start, “I like him a lot”, he said, “He has a great personality.”

This past season Togiai’s Rigby team won the state title, and he’s been to Seattle before when they traveled to play Eastside Catholic.

Both his cousins played for Oregon State and Ohio State, but he’s not looking at either of those schools at this time.

His biggest strength on the field is that he is long and strong; he can player either on the interior or the end and has a huge wingspan. Togiai is a physical player who plays to the whistle and has great potential at the next level.
