The date is set. The opponent is known. As the Huskies rose to within the Top 10 today at number nine, they learned that they will face the number five Ohio State Buckeyes on January 1st.
Washington, by winning the Pac12 championship, secured the trip to Pasadena to face the Big 10 champion, but up until this morning Ohio State was still hoping for a playoff berth after beating Northwestern lastnight for their own conference title.
Instead, Oklahoma was voted in to the playoff.
