The hits just keep on coming for the Washington basketball program. According to multiple sources senior forward Emmitt Mathews Jr. is entering the transfer portal.
After playing three seasons at West Virginia, Matthews Jr., transferred back home to Washington. In his lone season at Washington, the 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward averaged 11.0 points and 5.6 rebounds.
This is a huge blow for the Huskies as they continue having trouble losing players to the transfer portal. Emmitt Matthews Jr. was expected to be a key contributor and leader going into his final year of college.
