Huskies Extend Offer to Ferocious 2021 Hawai’i Lineman

Washington sent out an offer this evening in Hawai’i. This one going to Kamehameha DL, Kuao Peihopa.

The 6-3, 280 lb. lineman talked to Realdawg.com about this offer, “I got it before I went into practice”, he said, “Coach Malloe was the first coach to really talk to me — I definitely am interested in Washington.”

But the Huskies have some competition as well; Wisconsin, Nebraska, Arizona State, Fresno State, Nevada, and Hawai’i have all offered as well.

“I play d-tackle and left tackle”, Peihopa said, noting that he really has no preference, and that some schools are recruiting him to play either/or.

Washington, of course, loves him on defense.

He’s also a wrestler and, on the field, Peihopa is a dominating presence who hits hard, plays through the whistle, is big, physical, and quick. He’s still young but his ceiling is very high and he could develop into a big-time d-tackle heading into 2021 who has all the tools to get to the next level.

“I keep the heat on until the whistle blows”, Peihopa said.

Off the field he is as gentle as a lamb, on the field though Peihopa is a wolf who could wreak havoc on the interior.

Right now Peihopa is still in the early stages of his recruitment, and remember that Sama Pa’ama was also listed as an OL/DL but Washington brought him in at defense.

This is a very good player who Washington will continue to love up heading into the 2020/2021 cycle, “I’ll probably make my decision by next summer”, he said.
