How did the Washington Players Commemorate Big Win on Social Media?

The Washington Huskies went into Eugene, Oregon and took down the No. 6 team in the country, 37-34.  Here’s how the Washington players commemorated the victory on social media.

How it started:  The night before the game Husky quarterback Michael Penix implored his teammates to rise to the challenge:

How it went:

Husky receiver Jalen McMillan certainly rose to the occasion with his 8 catches for 122 yards, chose to thank Husky Nation for sticking with them.  His ‘caps lock’ button must have gotten stuck:

McMillan missed the Purple Rain sing-a-long

In one of the more humorous tweets, freshman edge defender Lance Holtzclaw.  Please turn on your speakers for the full experience.

Defensive back Mishael Powell joined in with a “Waddle Waddle” tweet of his own:

The Seattle Times’ Mike Vorel caught UW receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard’s celebration with Washington’s AD, Jen Cohen:

In a very understated tweet, Penix, receiver Rome Odunze, and Husky running back let play of the Husky team do his talking with some very understated tweets:

The Husky offensive line Jaxson Kirkland let it be known that he was playing not just for his teammates and Husky Nation but for all of those who have worn or will wear worn purple and gold:

Kirkland’s fellow lineman Henry Bainivalu noted the absence of atmosphere in the Eugene night.

Without naming names, UW offensive lineman Troy Fautanu flipped the script on the Ducks.

Center Corey Luciano had tweeted just once since becoming a Husky December 18th, 2019, posted a picture of the offensive line in front of the scoreboard that reads, Ducks 34, UW 37.  On the left is the most welcome photobomber, Penix.

Starting right tackle, Roger Rosengarten hasn’t tweeted, but Geirean Hatchett–a very nice birthday present to his younger brother (and 2023 UW commit) Landen who stayed home to root on the youngest of the Hatchetts in his championship game.

Finally healthy, Husky linebacker was involved in one of the bigger moments of the game with a big stop on 4th down in the 4th quarter.  He knows what season it is:

On the defensive side, edge rusher Bralen Trice, who got to Oregon’s Bo Nix for the second sack of the season given up by the Oregon offensive line had probably the most understated tweet:

Washington’s Kenny Wheaton moment is relived by the Washington Football Twitter account with one of the better graphics on social media.

Michael Penix had a personal message for Washington fans.

Penix’s dad Michael Penix, Sr offered this tweet from Keith Sanchez of TheDraftNetwork.com

UW tight end weighed in on Penix’s performance:

Husky team photographer Mike Fiechtner caught some smiles in the Husky locker room at Autzen Stadium.

Class of 2024 QB commit EJ Caminong took in the game on his flat screen
