Realdawg.com spoke with Ferndale (WA) 4-star offensive lineman, Geirean Hatchett this week, and he now has an idea of when he will be ready to announce his final decision.
“The latest would be August 1st, and the soonest with July 19th”, Hatchett reported, “July 19th is my birthday so I might just do it then…I don’t know yet”.
Right now Hatchett is in Canton Ohio for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy “Trench Warfare Camp”, where he and four teammates from Ferndale are helping out with the camp.
The Huskies have now received pledges from Myles Murao, Gaard Memmelaar, and Roger Rosengarten, so if Hatchett joins the class of 2020, this will be one of the best o-line classes in the country.
“That was a big pick up for Washington”, Hatchett said about Murao, “I started talking to him about a year ago and we have a good relationship.”
Hatchett continues to stay in touch with Scott Huff on a regular basis, and while most assume he is going to stay home and play for the Huskies, it’s never safe to assume anything with recruiting — but the general consensus is that he will wind up picking Washington.
Stay tuned…
