Game Week Notes, Petersen Quotes, Depth Chart, and Video

Chris Petersen was back to work this morning; addressing the media and discussing the challenges ahead in playing an extremely tough Utah team this weekend.

The Utes are having their “dream season’; there are a lot of seniors who make big plays and a very stout defense. So the Huskies definitely have their work cut out for them this week — but having the bye week right before this challenge was a big help.

Here are some highlights from Coach Petersen’s meeting this morning:

** Coach Pete said that “the program is not for everybody” in regards to Trey Lowe, “I would be surprised if everyone stays”, noting that there’s 110 guys here, “If the program is not for them, they need to move on”.

** MJ Tafisi has been practicing and is “doing well”, he added that he’s week-to-week, and Aaron Fuller was practicing last week. Also, Chico McClatcher is “making progress” as well.

** They spent the bye week reviewing all the tapes and situations so far from the season, called the Oregon game a “heck of a college football game…we didn’t make the plays we needed (to win)”

** Said Utah has one of the best defenses in the country, man, zone, “enough blitz pressures…they line up with good players”.
