Game Week Notes, Petersen Quotes, and Video

The good news out of this morning’s press briefing with Chris Petersen is that MJ Tafisi simply has a “stinger” on his neck.

MJ is “doing well” Coach Pete said, “Obviously a significant stinger”.

The coach added that they checked Tafisi out at the Arizona hospital and then again back in Seattle, he said “it’s scary…unsettling to everybody” when a player goes down like that.

Tafisi does not have a concussion, but he still won’t be put back into the game until they feel confident he is ready.

There’s still a question mark with offensive lineman, Jaxon Kirkland,”We’re still figuring him out a little bit”, Petersen said, but that “the Injury isn’t long-term…We’ll see how he looks tomorrow.”

There’s good news with receiver Ty Jones, who had dealt with a wrist problem that had required surgery. Jones hasn’t played at all this season and, according to Petersen, he is now able to play but that Jones would prefer to redshirt.

The coach called this a “grey area” due to the four-game redshirting rules.
