Future Washington Running Back Talks Monster Game, Expanding Repertoire

209 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns reads his stat line.

No, that’s not Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty’s numbers against Washington Sate, that’s 2025 Washington running back commit Julian McMahon’s stat line against Bishop O’Dowd a week ago.

“I was surprised by the numbers after the game–but then I wasn’t,” Washington’s 3rd overall commit for the 2025 recruiting class said.

Surprised because of the total but not surprised because of how hard he worked in the off season.

He has racked up 9 touchdowns and 583 yards on the ground but he’s also a threat catching the ball pulling in 20 passes for 194 yards.  According to MaxPreps, his 9 TDs is tied for second in the nation.

As one of Washington’s first commits, has been an integral part of building one of the best recruiting classes in years, currently ranked 18th in the nation.

“I keep in contact with everyone a good amount,” he said of the rest of his recruiting class.

His also keeps in touch with his future position coach who has helped with his senior season surge.

“Coach (Scottie) Graham and I discuss continuing to work hard and stan consistent,” McMahan said.  “We also talk about being prepared for the next level.”

Part of that has been becoming a triple threat where he can go between the tackles in short yardage situations, bounce plays outside where he can use his speed, and becoming a better receiver.
