Fresno State defensive lineman Leonard Payne has entered the transfer portal. Originally signed in the class of 2018, Payne is a former 6-3 270 pound lineman the former two-star is now 6-3 and 308 pounds run-stopper.
Payne saw limited action this season but had a sack of WSU’s Cameron Ward in the Jimmy Kimmel Bowl.

He played his high school ball at St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy in Los Angeles, California. With offers from Fresno State and Sacramento State, He was lightly recruited but played under the current Washington coaches, including Edge coach Eric Schmidt.
At Fresno State this past season He had 10 total tackles, 2 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
He utilized a red shirt in 2018 and sat out the 2020 covid year meaning he well have one year of eligibility remaining.
