Former Washington quarterback, Dylan Morris is said to be closing in on being named, the starting quarterback for his new school, James Madison University.
A two-year starter for the Huskies, Morris played second fiddle to Heisman-contending QB Michael Penix the past two seasons for UW. Ahead of the Huskies College Football Playoff Game against Texas, Morris chose to enter the Transfer Portal, choosing to spend his final year of college football eligibility 2,800 miles away at JMU.

The former 4-star signed caller chose the Dukes site unseen as he remained with the Huskies through the national title run.
In 2021, he started all but the final game is the season, throwing for 2,458 yards with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. As a starter he went 4-7 that season. UW went 4-8 that year.
Because of his experience he is considered the front runner to draw the opening day start, but learning his 4th offensive scheme in college has its challenges.
With Spring Football nearing a close at his new school, Morris will find out very soon if his gamble will pay off.
