Today
Today’s practice is open to the media, so Realdawg’s Kyle Waltos will be there taking notes and making observations. Practice begins at 3:05 pm and ends approximately at 5:05 pm.
Following practice, today’s activities will includes interviews with defensive players and coaches. We’ll have those videos and notes posted between 5:30 and 6 pm.
Saturday
On Saturday practice will begin again at the 3:05 mark and end at the 5:05 pm mark.
Again, we’ll have post-practice interviews via Kyle Waltos and Evan Feather and this will be a day where we speak with offensive players and coaches. Expect a mob of reporters to be around Jacob Eason.
We will also have a photo feature following practice from our photographer, Jeff Halstead.
Sunday
Sunday practice will have the same start and end time, we’ll have Kyle there covering practice and the subject will go back to defensive players and coaches again.
Monday
Monday will be a little different, as practice starts again at 3:05 but it will end earlier (4:15) and only Coach Petersen will meet with the media for post-practice interviews and updates.
Tuesday
Tuesday will be the last practice open to the media for the remainder of the year. After that the media will have access only to post-practice interview opportunities and we will have Evan Feather there most days to get those interviews and have them posted here on Realdawg.com.
On Saturday, August 10th, it’s Picture Day where fans can get to see the Dawgs up close and get photos and autographs.
After that Saturday, practices will continue to be closed except for those post-practice interview times.
Finally, on Monday, August 26th, Coach Petersen will hold his regular Monday press conference, previewing the game ahead and catching the media up on where the team is at.
Remember: We are not at liberty to ask about or report on injuries. The only exceptions to this are if and when Coach Petersen, himself, makes these announcements to the media. If any rumor goes out and we are asked about it on Realdawg.com, we will not comment or answer those questions.
Coach Petersen already covered much of this in his press conference yesterday
Also, we are not allowed to interview true or redshirt freshmen yet — so if we’re not putting any videos up on those guys, it’s by design.
