EXCLUSIVE: Washington Defensive Back Pulls Name from Portal “After Seeing Hire”

After watching the introduction of New, Washington head coach, Jedd, Fisch, UW defensive back Dyson McCutcheon had a quick change of heart, pulling his name from the Transfer Portal.

”Originally, I entered the portal to see what there was,” he told RealDawg.com before filing his paperwork to remove himself from the portal.  “But that was before the new coach got hired.“

The son of former NFL-great Daylon McCutcheon saw action in five games this past season.

“Once I saw who got hired I felt it would be best to stay,” he said.

With the departures of Jaivion Green, Jabbar Mohammed, Asa Turner, Mishael Powell, McCutcheon may be in line for more playing time this next season.”

He said that he finalize his paperwork before he could make the announcement official.

McCutcheon is the first player to officially announce his return to the program of the 17 players in the portal.  Several others have reached out to RealDawg, saying that they are open to staying in Seattle.
