EXCLUSIVE: Former 4-Star Ole Miss Commit, Offer from Washington “Would be a Blessing”

There might not be a hotter linebacker in the country than former Ole Miss commit Jordan Lockhart.  He committed to the Rebels in January of 2022 but pulled back earlier this month to check out other schools.

Despite his pledge to Ole Miss the offers continued to come in for Lockhart.  Louisville, Arizona, Utah, Alabama, then USC offered.  Even with those high-level offers, the 6-3, 233 linebacker remained steadfast in his commitment.

Things were quiet on the recruiting front as he and his teammates focused on their football season with little to no recruiting news to speak of.  And the focus paid off, as he and his St. John Bosco Braves teammates being named National Champions by MaxPreps.

In 13 games the junior notched 60 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups, and a forced fumble–in one of the toughest divisions in high school football in the entire country.

This past season he played alongside current Husky linebacker All-American Deven Bryant, with whom Jordan is very tight.

After the season, Bryant enrolled at Washington and Jordan began to heat back up

About a month ago Washington director of player personnel, Courtney Morgan reached out to an old friend, Jordan’s dad, Danny.  The two went to school in the Los Angles area, 18 miles apart in the late 90s, Courtney at Westchester and Danny at Carson.  But a Washington offer hasn’t come in yet.

Jordan told RealDawg.com that an offer from Washington “would be a blessing.”

Since that time Alabama and USC are going hard after the former Ole Miss commit.  Tennessee and Michigan entered the fray just before he visited Alabama on March 4.

But it was a day after his visit to Tuscaloosa, Alabama that Jordan reopened his recruiting.  Texas A&M and Oklahoma offered on back-to-back days.

Before he heads out on more visits, Jordan continues to hone his craft, backing up his national championship season with being the linebacker MVP at the Rivals Camp in Los Angeles over the weekend.

In early April, Lockhart teammates, who both hold Husky offers, Marcelles Williams and Khmori House will visit UW.

In the meantime, Lockhart will continue to grind, hopeful that a Washington offer will come through.
