The Seattle Mariners announced that Washington’s head football coach Kalen DeBoer will throw out the first pitch Monday, August, 8. The Mariners host the Yankees in a 3-game series starting at 7:10 PM that Monday.
DeBoer, coming off a 10-3 season at Fresno State, will look to turn around the Huskies after a turbulent 4-8 season.
Oh and if you don’t think the head UW coach can play a little baseball you would be wrong. In DeBoer’s senior season at Sioux Falls he hit .520 with 10 homeruns. DeBoer would go onto play one season in the independent league for the Canton Crocodiles.
