Day 3: Live Practice Updates

Day 3: Live Practice Updates

It’s day three, one of the warmest days of the year so far in store.  Practice started at 11:30 but that’s not when the players went out—about 10:30 some linemen were soaking in the sun.  A little while later punt returners and a couple of QBs joined the mix.

An absolute ton of high school coaches came out for the Be A Pro coaching clinic.  An estimated 250 coaches were in attendance on Friday with between 100 and 150 extra on hand Saturday.

The practice is open to fans with a scattering of them around the stadium.

Recruits galore, including DL target Derek Coleman-Brusa and his moms (and his 2025-signee brother Lowen)

Audric Harris made a one-handed snag just before going out of bounds.

Play the practice is Rahshawn Clark’s one-handed interception at the 3.

Raiden Vines-Bright with an amazing tumbling touchdown caught 3 yards deep in the end zone

Audric Harris is catching everything in sight.

Quentin Moore is a load—more like, locomotive. He’s made several great catches. Between the tackles, Adam Mohammed can pick his way through there better than last year.

—Decker DeGraff for a 20 yard gain before being brought down by CJ Christian.  Looks more decisive with the ball in his hand.

Washington with breathtaking speed. He out-ran all of the defenders to the sideline before cutting it up field for what could have been a score.

The defense gets one back on fourth and one. Stopping for what appeared to be about a 2-yard loss.

Back to back stops on fourth down for the defense. Good penetration and tripped up the ball carrier.

A bit of controversy on another 4th down, the offense think they got at the defense think they held.

The defense was the overall winner of that drill for saying the offensive line to run.  Drew Azzopardi took exception and had words for the defense, all in jest.

D’Aryhian Clemons Made a great pic, jumping a route that would’ve gone for a pick six

I missed what happened before, but Justice Williams locked up with a defender as they shoved each other for a good 10 seconds.  Just a slow dance.

He’s getting chirpy between the receivers and defensive backs.  Nothing scary, just pushing each other to elevate a perfect pass from Dash Beierly to Green, On what would’ve been a tunnel screen, but Rahshawn Clark with another spectacular interception, jumping the route for what would’ve been a pick 6.

Quentin Moore got his legs tangled up on a bullet from Williams.  The other Williams, Justice, made a great crossing catch from Shea Kuykendall. Decker DeGraff gets loose on the other end of the field on a pass from Williams.

on third and eighth Chris Lawson pulls in a 40 yard touchdown pass from Williams

Third and eight again, and Lawson pulls in another pass for a big gain I did not see who was that quarterback.

Green bubbles a catch and has the ball ripped out of his hands by Tacario Davis.  Greene wanted that ball, but Sicario wanted it more.  Greene made up for it on the other sideline with a 12-yard reception on third and two.

Williams under center hands off to Adam Mohammed who breaks several tackles and picks up 20 yards on first down.

Wipes find Harris at the Defense’s 47 but he could not pull it in. Williams created a little bit of time with his feet. In a game he may have chosen to run.

Decker DeGraff on third and three picks up a first down with his shoulders, knocking a defender off and dragging defenders another 5 yards.

Again, Jordan Washington looks really good with the ball in his hand bouncing the ball outside for a big game

Omari Evans with a nice Catch on a rollout from Williams.
Ellenius Davis with a big stop on Mohammed.

Harris is with a 10 yard pick up on first down.

This has been a physical, but smart practice.

Williams found Harris way down Field but he collided with a defender trying to pull in a 50 yard catch from Williams.

Dash found Greene, but he couldn’t pull it in. Dash rolled out to his right to extend the play, but the ball was a little bit wobbly and Greene couldn’t handle it.

Jonah Coleman back on the field. He looks fine. He just was not in on a lot of plays.  He takes that car for a 12 yard gain weaving his way through.

Adam Mohammed dropped by Davis for a 2 yard loss.  Doing the number 90 proud

Coleman with a 5 yard pick up.

Double D with a huge pick up on a scramble by the Tulane transfer Kai Horton.

On the next play, Horton scramble up the middle, but Adam Mohammed was lined up outside.

Horton scrambles on another play But he probably would’ve been sacked.

A rare mess by Williams to Davis.  The ball just thrown over his head.

No real chance on it Harris with a tunnel screen that he takes for 13.  Look like he broke a tackle And probably would have gone down for a small gain.

Harris and Williams connect on the same play that Williams over through him on.

Coleman slips on a carry, but is able to maintain his balance and pick up 5 yards.

I won’t say the player, but one of the defenders look like he dislocated a finger and he just went “woooo” I got it taped up. It is ready to go out again.

Mohammed look like he had a good head of steam, but the defense slammed the door shut on him for a lot 2 yard pick up.

Justice Williams with a great catch, taking it for a big gain. The ball was over his head, but the long arms of Justice brought it in.
