Chris Petersen was wearing a “stay positive” t-shirt when he addressed the media this morning to talk about the Oregon game and the upcoming game against Colorado.
Petersen, who still has more wins under his belt than the majority of coaches in the Power Five conferences, talked about the game Saturday with wisdom and was not about to make any excuses.
“Two good teams playing football”, Petersen said in his opening remarks, “Congratulations to Oregon. We knew they were a good team. Coach Cristobal has done a nice job…I can’t tell you the passion we have for our guys, how hard they prepare, how hard they play. They just keep playing the game the way it’s meant to be played. We’re just proud of these guys.”
But Petersen did admit that there was a slight punch in the gut to this loss, “Yesterday, today, these are hard days. It’s painful. And it should be.”
Injury Update:
Petersen said Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed, and Jordan Miller are “week to week” at this point.
Wideout, Quinten Pounds is done for the season due to a knee issue. Pounds has already suffered ACL injuries in the past that sidelined him.
