Chris Petersen sat down this morning to talk about what he saw on the field on Saturday night from his Huskies, and what he expects to see when BYU comes to town this weekend.
BYU brings their Cougar team into Husky Stadium on Saturday, and Petersen described their offense as “completely different than anything we’ve seen — and won’t see again in terms of all their shifts and motions and fly-sweep actions.”
Petersen also gave big props to his offensive line for the job they did blocking for Jake Browning against ASU, “Give that guy a chance…he’s an accurate thrower and knows what to do”.
Some would assume that Petersen faced the style of offense that BYU plays when he was still at Boise, but he said this is a new style and not one he saw when he coached against them before.
** Petersen said that Austin Joyner suffered a concussion on Saturday night, and as such, is on concussion protocol right now.
** Ben Burr-Kirven earned Pac-12 Player of the Week again for his 20 tackles against Arizona State
