Class of 2025: Washington Offers Nation’s No. Two Tight End, Former Notre Dame Commit

The Washington Huskies have offered the nation’s number two tight end for the class of 2025, Nate Roberts, from Washington, Oklahoma.  He committed to Notre Dame on June 17 of this year before pulling back his commitment.  At the time, he selected the Fighting Irish over Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, and Michigan.

He reopened his recruiting nearly two months later and the offers have continued to pour in, including one from the Huskies.  The Washington offer comes three days after Husky TE Jack Westover had 3 touchdowns against the Michigan State Spartans.

A near mirror image of 2024 Washington TE commit Decker DeGraaf, Roberts stands at 6-4 and weighs 230 pounds.  Last season he had 33 receptions, 11 of which went for touchdowns, and had 705 receiving yards as a sophomore.  Nearly half of his yardage came after the catch for the Oklahoma State Champion, Washington Warriors.

Through 3 games WHS is unbeaten this season, but accurate stats for the 2023 MaxPreps Preseason All-American second-teamer are tough to come by.

Roberts holds 30 Power 5 offers along with Notre Dame and has recently visited Ohio State and Oklahoma.

RealDawg.com has reached out to Roberts for comment.
