Zion Tupuola-Fetui made sure nobody forgot about the Cougars planting their flag at Husky Stadium last year, and reminded the crowd after his sack of Cam Ward late in the fourth quarter.
But, let’s rewind a bit. Husky offensive lineman Kaleb McGary celebrated Washington’s 28-15 victory over WSU in 2019 in “Snow Bowl 2”, in Pullman. That may have heated up the celebration side of the rivalry game.

That same evening, Cougar QB Jaden de Laura planted the famed Wazzu flag on the logo at Husky Stadium. Saturday night, unable to protect the end zone, the home team put security guards out to ensure no celebration would happen at midfield.

Perhaps rush end Zion Tupuola-Fetui had a premonition and planted a mock flag after a late sack–a celebration he kept under wraps for 365 days. However, it’s a “celly” that will be recast every Apple Cup in perpetuity.
Needed it‼️ Sat on that celly for a year😮💨 https://t.co/TO4OzU1SHd

Husky left guard Jaxson Kirkland adopted the entirety of the Pullman campus. You’ll have to excuse his typo as at 6-7 and 340 pounds it can’t be easy to poke the tiny keys on his phone perfectly but give him credit for this rather humorous tweet.
Washington’s offensive line’s answer to a Swiss Army Knife, who’s played multiple spots along the line, including a period at tight end, center Corey Luciano and RT Roger Rosengarten lit up a cigars in the visitor’s locker room after helping Washington put up 703 offensive yards. Pictured from left to right are LT Troy Fautanu, RG Henry Bainivalu, QB Michael Penix, LG Jaxson Kirkland, Rosengarten, Luciano, and backup QB Dylan Morris with the photobomb in the background on the far right.

After helping to hold the Cougars to 6 second half points, defensive back Alex Cook hoisted the Apple Cup trophy for cheering teammates and Husky fans in attendance, leading them in salute to Captain Husky chant.

And the epic chant that is normally reserved for the Husky Stadium tunnel, “Say who? Say what?” is captured by Seattle Times Husky beat reporter, Mike Vorel.
