Husky CB Byron Murphy was picked up by his home-state team today in the second round of the draft, the first pick, in fact.
Murphy, who’s originally from Arizona, was drafted 33rd overall by the Arizona Cardinals.
Murphy declared for the draft following the 2018 season, after having a super productive career at Washington.
Most felt he would go in the first round, but being the first pick in the second round is still a big accomplishment and another feather in the cap of the Husky coach’s system in developing defensive backs to the next level.
