BREAKING: Washington Receiving Duo McMillan and Bernard Not Suited for Arizona State

It appears that the Washington Huskies, who have arguably the deepest receiving room in the country, will be without the services of two of their top 4 receivers, Jalen McMillan and Germie Bernard.

The pair are not suited on Washington’s sideline before the game.  Neither have obvious injuries but are not warming up.

Washington is not devoid of offensive weapons so the absence of McMillan and Bernard will test offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb’s and Michael Penix’s ability to utilize all of the offensive weapons.

Without the duo, Giles Jackson who made his season debut last week, will be called on again.  He came up big early in his season debut for Washington hauling in 6 catches for 58 yards and the game’s first TD, as well as a crucial 4th down conversion on a slant in the fourth quarter with 9:15 left in the game.

Against Oregon Odunze and Polk combined for 14 receptions, 3 touchdowns, and 246 yards.  Washington’s tight end duo of Jack Westover and Devin Culp provided help in the run game but had 1 catch for 2 yards against the Ducks between them.  Westover caught a critical 4th-and-1 and a two-point conversion.  Culp was targeted once but was fouled and didn’t record a catch.

Dillon Johnson has begun to emerge in Washington’s run game, increasing his carries
