As widely expected, the Washington Huskies are have parted with basketball coach Mike Hopkins, according to the university.

Since being hired in early October of last year Director of Athletics, Troy Dannen is having his second major hire at Washington.
As shocking as the Kalen DeBoer departure in January was, the Hopkins move has been brewing for a long time.
However, it’s expected that Hopkins will finish out the post season, as far as the Huskies go.
The coaches were said to have been informed of their fate last week after their 7-point home loss to USC.
Front runners to replace Hopkins are rumored to be:
Danny Sprinkle, Utah State
Kyle Smith, Washington State
TJ Otzelberger, Iowa State
Joe Pasternack, UC-Santa Barbara
