BREAKING: Washington Lands Top In-State Prospect, Beating Out Oregon

Two days after Spring Game known as “Dawgs in the Dark”, 4-star defensive lineman, Derek Coleman-Brusa saw the light And chose his hometown, Washington Huskies.

Coleman-Brusa, the top in-state prospect for the class of 2026 was once thought to be heavily leaning toward the Oregon Ducks.

However, a year of getting to know the Washington staff the younger brother of 2025 sign Lowen picked the Huskies.

”This is the second rabbit-from-the-hat pick up for Jedd Fisch in the past 10 days “ said RealDawg.com’s Trevor Mueller.  “In fact, he’s essentially the second in-state prospect joining 5-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene, who grew up in the Seattle area, who flipped from Oregon last week.”

At Kennedy Catholic last season DCB filled out the scorecard every week with 68 tackles, with nearly half behind the line of scrimmage with 13 sacks, 30 tackles for loss and 3 passes defended.  He also forced 3 fumbles, recovering one.  On special teams he blocked three extra point attempts.

His younger LCB brother will enroll in time for the summer period.
