In a huge move for the Washington Huskies, Tacario Davis has announced his commitment to UW.
Davis has been one of the best corners in college football with the Arizona Wildcats. At 6-4 190-pound, he totaled 75 tackles, 22 passes defenders, & 1 interception in 3 years with the Wildcats
In that time, Davis has been on every award list imaginable.
A 2023 All-Pac-12 second team, a 2024 All-Big-12 second team, and a 2024 semi-finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. On the heels of being named a semi-finalist for the nation’s best defensive back, Davis was one of the premier names in the 2024 transfer portal and the #1 ranked cornerback.
Davis was recruited to Arizona out of high school by now-huskies head coach Jedd Fisch. In early 2024, when Fisch left for Washington, Davis entered the portal only to return to Arizona.
After the Wildcats’ disappointing 2024 season, Davis reentered the transfer portal, this time committing to the Huskies and his former head coach.
Taccario Davis will join a UW roster all ready chock full of players from Arizona’s 2023 team which won the Alamo bowl and finished the season ranked #11 in the country.
Between Davis, Ephesians Prysock and potentially Thaddeus Dixon, should he return, the Husky’s defensive backfield will be a focal point as UW looks to climb back into the college football playoff race.
