The Washington Huskies have received the commitment of Zaydarius Rainey-Sale from Bethel High School, south of Seattle.
A national recruit who has offers from across the country, chose to announce for the home team while they’re in Houston, Texas preparing to play in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game later on tonight.
Rainey-Sale, across all scouting services is a top 20 inside linebacker. At 6-2 and 230 pounds joins quarterback Jackson Kollock and defensive tackle Josiah Sharma.
247 Sports lists him as the top player in the state of Washington for the 2025 recruiting class. Despite missing 3 games due to injury, he averaged nearly 11 tackles a game, including 1 tackles for loss a game. Twice he had games of 15 tackles.
Originally, Rainey-Sale was thought to be announcing his commitment to Florida State at an All-American game last week but the Huskies convinced him that Washington’s grass was greener.
