After his official visit this weekend to Washington Gavin Day has committed to the Huskies.

The composite 4-star safety out of Faith Lutheran in Las Vegas committed after a huge weekend on Montlake with many high profile commits and recruits on campus. Washington earned the commitment over programs like Iowa, Arizona, and Utah, all schools he has visits lined up.

Time will tell if he makes the rest of his visits scheduled for June.

Day brings a ton of talent and versatility to the safety position for John Richardson and Ryan Walters to develop. The 6-3, 190-pound athlete could play any position in the secondary with his frame. The 4-star DB is effective in coverage and in the run game and hits with malicious intent.

As of now he is the third highest rated recruit by 247 Sports, which has him rated only behind offensive linemen Kodi Greene and Derek Colman-Brusa.

He joins high school teammate 3-Star offensive lineman Dominic Harris who committed to Washington earlier this evening.
