The Washington Huskies have added a third quarterback for the 2024 season as Northern Colorado transfer Shea Kuykendall announced his commitment to the Huskies Wednesday evening.

The 6-1, 200-pound QB red-shirted in 2022 but last season at UNC he played in four games making 3 three starts. He completed 52-of-81 passes for 454 yards and 2 TDs with no interceptions.
Kuykendall was a 3-star QB out of Long Beach Poly High School in the recruiting class of 2022. He was listed as the number 18 pro-style in the nation by ESPN following his senior season. In his high school career, he amassed over 7,000 passing yards including 2,840 yards as a senior.
He received multiple awards including being named All-League Offensive Player of the Year and CIF All-State honoree. That season Kuykendall’s favorite target was Washington true freshman receiver, Jason Robinson, Jr., connecting 63 times for 1,007 yards and 12 TDs.
At Northern Colorado he split quarterbacking duties with former Washington quarterback and current Cleveland Browns QB, Jacob Sirmon.
It is unclear if he will be a scholarship player or a walk-on, at this point.
